Weekend and new furniture :)

Blogging has really been taking a backseat lately... I spent my weekend doing more laundry then I want to admit was dirty, cleaning our guest bedroom/room where Ashley gets ready, going through my closet, and redecorating our living room a little bit. A few weeks ago I posted pictures of my living room and I hated them. I hated all the little shit all over my walls. Michael said it was "getting a little to old lady in here". Anyway as I was ignoring his comments and really thinking about what I wanted my living room to look like I decided that the main focal point should be who else... StinkandSchmoopy.
Also here is our new furniture... Ahhhhhhhhh it is so comfortable I never want to get off of it (which is another post in itself)

Before:

(hot mess anyone??)

After:

Side note: now is REALLY the time to go to Target for home goods. They change all the decor out this time of year and I was able to get these curtains for 75% off... or maybe it was 70%. I cant remember and I suck at math. They were originally $20 each (which I would never pay btw) and I got them for around $5.50 each.

Also we got a fish. Meet Optimus Prime (Blakey named him. Ask him to say it next time you see him... So funny)

  3. Your new setup looks good. Once in a while, it's great to spend some time and effort to get a room re-designed. Even if the previous design is good, the breath of fresh air brought about by the new furniture and the new environment can do a lot of good to one's perspective and taste.

  12. Of course I will share!!! We bought our furniture from Old Brick in Albany NY. I wish I knew what brand it is. I have no complaints. It has thick cushions, it's not microfiber, all the cushions are connected to the actual sofa and it comes in sage, which I bought and brown. I hope that helps!!

I would Also suggest always getting the replacement plan. Our furniture was free because my son put a hole in our old couch.

  15. If how you arrange your living room furniture reflects in your personality then changing it and rearranging it neatly would give you a good complement then.

  16. The star was really the centerpiece of your old living room! Haha! I love stars, so you don’t have to wonder why. :) Anyway, I love how your room looked both before and after. Your previous living room looks good to me. I like the antique rocking chair that you have on the side of the room. Is it still there? But, with the new look on your living room, what I love most is the sofa. It seems to be much more comfortable than your old one. Beautiful job!

  17. I have to agree with Allie. The previous and later arrangements of your living room were both awesome! But I prefer the latter one because it looks brighter than the first. Likewise, the space in the room seems bigger. It has to be the arrangement of the sofa! ;) Your carpet looks great as well. It’s the same carpet that you had before, right?
