Also here is our new furniture... Ahhhhhhhhh it is so comfortable I never want to get off of it (which is another post in itself)
Before:
(hot mess anyone??)
After:

Side note: now is REALLY the time to go to Target for home goods. They change all the decor out this time of year and I was able to get these curtains for 75% off... or maybe it was 70%. I cant remember and I suck at math. They were originally $20 each (which I would never pay btw) and I got them for around $5.50 each.
Also we got a fish. Meet Optimus Prime (Blakey named him. Ask him to say it next time you see him... So funny)
That is interesting post. Your home is very nice. Every thing is so beautiful, Especially i like very much fan. This arrangement is very fabulous.
ReplyDeletei LOVE your new set up! the pictures, the curtain, the wreath on the wall! perfection!
ReplyDeletegreat job!
i need to head to Target :)
Your new setup looks good. Once in a while, it's great to spend some time and effort to get a room re-designed. Even if the previous design is good, the breath of fresh air brought about by the new furniture and the new environment can do a lot of good to one's perspective and taste.
ReplyDeleteThe before photos still looks good but needs a little touch. yeah it really feels good to have a new design.. seeing new design every month will really make you fell new every month.. as a furniture lover i always love to redecorate and rearrange my furniture so i could see a fresh looking living room.
ReplyDeleteit looks great now, but i did really like your brown couches. i have something similar to them. glad you're loving your new space. oh, and enjoy optimus prime, lol.
ReplyDeleteI like the new look! That rug is one I've looked at before--where did you get it?
ReplyDeletehey Ellie!
ReplyDeleteWe got the rug at Lowes. It hides messes without looking to dirty... win/win!!
I love a good before and after. I think the new window dressings make such a difference. I just re-did my lounge room too. You can visit me to check out the post.

I love your new furniture--will you share where you bought it?? We are in need of some new family room furniture and yours looks super comfy!
ReplyDeletethanks
Of course I will share!!! We bought our furniture from Old Brick in Albany NY. I wish I knew what brand it is. I have no complaints. It has thick cushions, it's not microfiber, all the cushions are connected to the actual sofa and it comes in sage, which I bought and brown. I hope that helps!!
ReplyDeleteI would Also suggest always getting the replacement plan. Our furniture was free because my son put a hole in our old couch.
I really like your idea and thoughts of to arranging home equipments. I think the new window dressings make such a difference. I impressed by that.
ReplyDeleteI think that is so nice, when it comes to furniture hope it can make a better place for dreams to come true.
ReplyDeleteIf how you arrange your living room furniture reflects in your personality then changing it and rearranging it neatly would give you a good complement then.
ReplyDeleteThe star was really the centerpiece of your old living room! Haha! I love stars, so you don’t have to wonder why. :) Anyway, I love how your room looked both before and after. Your previous living room looks good to me. I like the antique rocking chair that you have on the side of the room. Is it still there? But, with the new look on your living room, what I love most is the sofa. It seems to be much more comfortable than your old one. Beautiful job!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Allie. The previous and later arrangements of your living room were both awesome! But I prefer the latter one because it looks brighter than the first. Likewise, the space in the room seems bigger. It has to be the arrangement of the sofa! ;) Your carpet looks great as well. It’s the same carpet that you had before, right?
